Meet Dr. Barbara Wilson

For more than three decades, Dr. Barbara Wilson has been called to encourage, equip, and empower women through the truth of God's Word. Her ministry spans local churches, women's conferences, leadership training, international missions, and media.

Meet Dr. Barbara Wilson
Dr. Barbara Wilson is a pastor, teacher, speaker, author, mentor, and leadership developer with a lifelong passion for helping women discover who God created them to be. For more than four decades, she has faithfully served in ministry, equipping women to grow in their relationship with Christ, embrace their purpose, and lead with wisdom, courage, and integrity.
Serving as First Assistant Pastor at Full Gospel Christian Assemblies International (FGCAI), Dr. Wilson also leads the Heart 2 Heart Women’s Ministry, where she has inspired countless women through Bible studies, conferences, leadership development, discipleship programs, and mentoring relationships.
Ordained to the ministry in December 1993, Dr. Wilson’s calling has taken her across the United States and to nearly 30 countries, sharing the Gospel, encouraging leaders, and strengthening the Body of Christ. Her ministry is known for practical biblical teaching that equips women to apply God’s Word to everyday life.
Following her retirement from a distinguished career in education, Dr. Wilson embraced a new season of ministry by launching Repositioned With Purpose, a Christ-centered organization dedicated to helping women rediscover their identity, heal from life’s transitions, develop as leaders, and walk confidently in God’s calling.
Through conferences, leadership training, podcasts, books, online resources, and the Deborah Project Leadership Institute, Dr. Wilson is committed to raising up women who will faithfully influence their families, churches, communities, and future generations.
Her life reflects the truth of Romans 8:28—that God works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Whether speaking to a congregation, mentoring a leader, or encouraging one woman at a time, Dr. Wilson’s heart is to help others understand that no season is wasted and no purpose is ever lost in God’s hands.
My Story
Like many women, I have experienced seasons of change, uncertainty, disappointment, and unexpected transitions. Yet through every season, God has remained faithful.
He taught me that repositioning is not about starting over—it is about moving into the place He has prepared for you.
Throughout my journey as an educator, pastor, wife, mother, grandmother, international missionary, and ministry leader, God has continually expanded my understanding of His purpose. Each experience became preparation for the next assignment.
Today, Repositioned With Purpose represents more than an organization—it represents a movement that encourages women to stop looking back, embrace God’s process, and step confidently into the future He has designed for them.
My prayer is that every woman who connects with this ministry will discover her identity in Christ, hear God’s voice clearly, grow in spiritual maturity, and courageously fulfill the purpose for which she was created.

Dr. Wilson serves as First Assistant Pastor at Full Gospel Christian Assemblies International (FGCAI).
Her ministry emphasizes biblical teaching, prayer, spiritual growth, servant leadership, and the practical application of God’s Word.
Empowering Women
As Executive Director of Heart 2 Heart Women’s Ministry, Dr. Wilson helps create opportunities for women to gather in sisterhood, study Scripture, pray, grow spiritually, and encourage one another.
Her passion for developing women in leadership also led to the creation of The Deborah Project Leadership Institute, now a program of YAPS.
Community & Education
Through her leadership with YAPS, Dr. Wilson continues her commitment to education, mentorship, leadership development, scholarships, and community service.
She believes people should not only discover their purpose but also receive the encouragement, preparation, and opportunities needed to walk in it.
